Abstract geometric pattern, Lincoln vineyard
Looking down on the Lincoln vineyard, its rows of grape vines forming a fabulous abstract geometrical pattern.
The vineyard is enclosed by the ancient buttressed stone walls of the Medieval Bishops' Palace.
The walls provide shelter and a Mediterranean micro-climate for the most northerly vineyard in Europe, planted high up on the Lincoln Cliff, an escarpment which begins in the Lincolnshire Wolds and runs south-west to the Cotswolds.
