Sunbeams at Sunset over Gars-bheinn, Skye Cuillin
Shafts of sunlight radiate from behind the jagged peak of Gars-bheinn at sunset as seen from Port Elgol, Isle of Skye. Gars-bheinn is the southern-most peak of the Cuillin Ridge, sometimes referred to as the Black Cuillin because of the dark grey colour of the Gabbro rock of which they consist.
Unbelievably, this image was taken at close to midnight!
